Welcome to the Centre For The Performing Arts.

If you have a passion for dancing, then the Centre For The Performing Arts of Kingsport, TN is the place for you. We educate our dancers, aging from 3 years to pre-professional, in as many techniques as possible and give them a sense of artistry and integrity in dance as well as in themselves. We also offer lessons to our adult dancers who still have a passion for dancing. Intercity Ballet Artistic Director and former Radio Music Hall Rockette Dorothy Hanner Ratcliff, along with co-director Teresa Weatherford and the rest of the staff, will bring out the artistic side in you in the most creative and fun way.

Mission Statement

The Centre for the Performing Arts’ Philosophy is to educate our young dancers in as many techniques as possible. Although sound technique and a solid curriculum are essential, our greatest joy is giving dancers a sense of artistry and integrity in dance as well as in themselves.

CLASSES: Classes have begun for this Fall 2020. Shoes, tights, leotard have all arrived to be fitted if needed. The social distancing we practiced this past Spring and Summer worked great and we will continue these procedures. We want to protect our students, staff and parents. Masks will be requested to be worn by all and we asking if possible to wait in the parking lot for your student. We have very limited space in the lobby area.
